The SRD has received over $4.6 million from the federal Gas Tax Fund to install several new heating and cooling systems at Strathcona Gardens. This money will support the work in the planned upgrades and renovations proposed through the REC-REATE project and may help reduce the project cost. See the official news release here.

The project, called REC-REATE Strathcona Gardens, has investigated how best to renew the facility to address aging infrastructure and deliver recreation services in an exciting, modern, safe and inclusive environment.
