REC-REATE Strathcona Gardens – Building the Future of Recreation

REC-REATE is transforming Strathcona Gardens into a modern, accessible and inclusive recreation complex that will serve the region for generations to come.

The project is moving forward in two phases:

Phase 1 – Aquatic & Wellness

• A new Aquatic Centre and enhanced wellness and fitness spaces.
• New Aquatic Centre opening Fall 2026.
• Wellness Centre (Part of Phase 1) is scheduled to start in October and completed Summer 2027

Phase 2 – Arena, Parking & Pedestrian Connection Path

• A new third arena, along with improved parking and access to Strathcona Gardens.
